Food and Drug Administration denies Corn Refiners Association request for alternative label for high-fructose corn syrup Federal regulators have denied a request by the Corn Refiners Association to relabel high-fructose corn syrup as corn sugar, giving ammunition to critics in the sugar industry who have sued the organization for alleged false advertising.
